WHAT TRIP SUITS YOU?

From first time to expert angler

At Lakeview Outfitters we are happy to offer guided fly fishing trips that are tailored to meet the needs of our guests! Far from the cookie-cutter experiences you'll find elsewhere, each trip is uniquely different depending on the goals and skill level of the anglers on board. We are often pleased to introduce new anglers to the art of fly fishing. The Kenai River is a remarkable fishery and an excellent place to learn! Drift fishing is a team sport and experienced anglers will find plenty to enjoy, pair your skills with an expert rower that knows the river inside and out! included in all of our trips are waders, quality gear and terminal tackle, however, you are welcome to bring any of your own gear that you like.

Wildlife and wine!

Not interested in angling but still want to see the river? We are happy to offer scenic river tours to our guests. Picture yourself floating the Kenai in the comfort of our spacious, stable drift boat with a glass of your favorite wine in hand! You will float over 8 miles of the Upper Kenai drift only zone (no motors allowed) where we often see bears, moose, eagles, a variety of wild fish and other wildlife. AM trips include freshly brewed french press coffee and pastries, PM trips include an antipasto platter and stemware if you would like to bring a bottle of wine. We typically stagger our start times to be on the river when most other boat traffic is reduced, this offers a much nicer wilderness experience with better opportunities to see wildlife.

WHAT SETS US APART?

STEWARDSHIP / BARBLESS / SUSTAINABILITY

At Lakeview Outfitters, we are working to raise the bar in the fly fishing industry.  We reward our local community for their environmental efforts,  promote sustainable fish handling and catch and release practices, and acknowledge the importance of reducing our impact on the ecosystem.

We consider conservation first in all of our decisions, from carrying and using only barbless hooks to providing effective and less damaging alternatives to lead weights and anchors. Plus, our shop runs entirely on clean solar energy.
