Fishing is for everyone, but getting started isn’t always that simple. A lot of women come into fishing without access to mentors, partners, or a space that feels easy to step into. That’s something we’ve been working to change.
Our ladies events are designed to create multiple ways to get involved—from hands-on learning during Ladies Trout Nights, to ongoing connection through the Steelhead Sirens newsletter, to free on-the-water opportunities through our Trout Unlimited partnership grant.
At the center of it all is the Steelhead Sirens Retreat: A 6 day, 5 night, ladies-only fly fishing trip here in Alaska. Each year, a small group of (badass) women comes together for a week of fishing, learning, and pushing thier skills on the water.
Together, these programs are about more than just learning how to fish. They’re about creating access, building skills, and growing a community of women who show up for each other on and off the river.
